Wax Tailor Full Live Band in Sofia

If you need to highlight a name in the contemporary French music scene that is equally strong in hip-hop and trip-hop and at the same time the music is enjoyable as a French kiss, then you'll be definitely talking about Wax Tailor. On 3rd of December organised by Reel Feel, he arrives in Sofia Live Club with his entire 7-member band to "kiss" the Sofia's audience with French style and music charm.

Behind the Wax Tailor monicker stands Jean-Christophe Le Saoût, with the sophistication of a Frenchman, he mixes a unique blend of hip-hop and trip-hop with a strong instrumental filler vocals and a variety of international artists and other MS specialists. His music is like a movie in which he is the director managing the samples and the results are pieces resembling the works of Kubrick, David Lynch, Woody Allen and Hitchcock.

After having released two solo singles in 2005 he released his first album, Tales of the Forgotten Melodies, and then Hope & Sorrow in 2007 for which the world knows better how trip-hop, hip-hop and downtempo styles can be blended together. His second album was nominated for best electronic album of the most prestigious French awards Victoires de la Musique.

In the past he was a radio host and was part of the French rap group La Formule in the 90s Now he owns a label named Lab'Oratoire, makes break beat compilations and collaborations with the Swedish group Looptroop. Wax Tailor has been working with artists like Infinite Livez (Big Dada), The Others, Ursula Rucker, Sharon Jones, Voice and A State Of Mind, part of which involved one of his memorable performances in the French hall "Olympia" 2010

On December the 3rd, Sofia Live Club will meet up with the the full live squad of Wax Tailor, which comes with the singer Charlotte and MC Mr. Mattic. The violin and bass will played by Raphaele Germse, Anna Kei on flute and saxophone, Johan Blanc will manage the trombone and guitar, Mathieu Detton - cello, and Jean-Christophe himself will conduct behind the turntables.
