Jimmy Edgar with a new album Majenta

After nearly two years of silence, Jimmy Edgar returns with a brand new album, called Majenta, to be released on Scuba's Hotflush label in May.

Jimmy Edgar - born in Detroit but residenting in Berlin musician, is on the horizon again with his third studio album. We know him very well with his inimitable jackin house and electro funk style.This time Edgar presents more adventurous album wich he made for almost 2 years, 3 less than his previous record "XXX". "Majenta" contains 11 erotic robotic pop songs, a trademark of Jimmy Edgar, but slightly different from the material we used to hear from him. The musician says that the new album is more abrupt, rude and most futuristic. This is clearly felt, if we check some of the tracks in in the album as "Take Me On a Sex Drive and" Touch Ur Bodytime ", which are filled with electro funk keyboards, while the voice of Edgar passes through vocoder. "Let Yrself Be", lead us to the UK garage rhythms, and "I Need Your Control" reminds us a lot of Prince.
